Kung Fu Tea 2
February 6, 2023
Welcome to part two of my Kung Fu Tea reviews! In my last article, I wrote at the end that it was a great opportunity and that I would love to do it again, and I finally got to! When I first wrote it, I had been working at Kung Fu for about two months, and since then, four months have gone by. Also stated in my previous article, my job heavily focuses on my coworkers and I making new concoctions and testing them out. So instead of reviewing the drinks, I thought I’d share some drinks that are not on the menu that my coworkers and I have made over the past six months of my employment.
Starburst Slush
This drink is made up of mango, strawberry, and passion fruit. It is best paired with mango popping boba, mango jelly, or just regular honey boba. When all of these flavors come together, we have come to the conclusion that it tastes similar to a pink Starburst.
Tareo Slush
This drink is not necessarily a “secret menu” item, but it is not on the menu so I thought I would include it on the list. Tareo slush is a mixture of a taro slush, with little oreo bits blended in. It has a really good flavor and is just a great drink overall.
Okinawa
Okinawa is a brown sugar milk green tea. While we usually use regular cane sugar to make our milk teas, the brown sugar adds an extra delicious kick to the original milk green tea.
Okito
Okito is a spin on the regular Kung Fu Milk Tea and is similar to Okinawa. Instead of green tea, it is made with black tea, which I personally like more.
Strawberry Coconut Milk Green Tea
Out of all the drinks on this list, this one might be my favorite. This drink is a mixture of strawberry, coconut, and green milk tea. It is creamy and fruity and is best topped with nata jelly.
Milk Tea Slush
Fun fact: at Kung Fu, we can turn any milk tea into a slush. The picture above is a Thai milk tea slush. The slush is one of the most popular “secret menu” items that we sell.
Strawberry Lemonade Slush
This one came about from me wanting a lemonade from Wetzel’s pretzels. I figured we had all of the ingredients, so I just put all of them together. This strawberry lemonade is a delicious frozen treat, and would best be paired with mango popping boba.
This was really fun for me to do with my coworkers, and maybe in the future, I would love to do more Kung Fu Tea reviews. This article was a combination of drinks that all of my coworkers and I have made. I thoroughly enjoy my job, and making all these concoctions was a good pastime.
