Brooke Bergquist is an AP Lang and English 11 teacher at Las Vegas Academy of the Arts. As of 2023, this is Ms. Bergquist’s seventh year of teaching. With her teaching experience, she is excited to be around these students for another year. This school year is filled with a lot of surprises and Bergquist is ready to go through the year with the students.
“I love interacting with the students”, said Bergquist. “Getting to see their reactions to content I’ve taught for years and years and when they have that lightbulb moment when they’re like, ‘I finally get something’ that’s the best part of teaching.” Bergquist is a dedicated teacher at LVA who teaches both AP and English 11, Bergquist works hard each year for her students.
From interacting with students for seven years now, Bergquist has not only learned from other students, but as well as herself when it comes to useful advice all students will need someday.
From a teacher’s perspective, Bergquist offers some advice to keep students going throughout their school year and life. “If you’re struggling with anything, struggling with work, go ask for help. Struggling with mental health, go ask for help. You do not have to do anything by yourself. You don’t have to be alone for anything. So if you need help, ask for it. Most people will be willing to give you the assistance you need,” said Bergquist.
Over the past years, Bergquist has helped numerous people, not only students but staff as well. At LVA, teachers are adored and appreciated for all that they do. Bergquist is one of the many teachers who helps students overcome their problems and provides them with all the help and support they need. LVA is grateful to Bergquist and all that she does for the students.
