Jace Copeland, a freshman theater major attending Las Vegas Academy. Being a freshman has its challenges so he shared some advice he has for anyone auditioning for next year.
Copeland first describes how the environment at LVA has impacted him through his experiences “I’m very proud of myself. I have people who support me and I have so many friends here. It’s very lovely here “. It’s very important to have a great support system, especially at school. This is great having an environment that can really lift you up and help you do well.
Many freshmen struggle to keep their grades up, but putting in the effort can be worth it. “I’m slowly making progress and that has really brought my grades up even faster. It’s also made me feel a lot better about myself. Even little things like that can make you feel good,” said Copeland
They were asked about any advice they would leave for future freshmen to come. Copeland’s advice is to “just get the work done, get it in on time. Just pay attention…. It’s honestly going to be stressful sometimes, but it’s totally worth it and I believe that you got this,” said Copeland.
Struggling with your grades and school is a very common thing, Copeland’s advice might be a great help. At LVA we have resources available like Lunch and Learn, and great teachers who are always willing to help. Take advantage of those resources because they can be a great help.
