Welcome to the first edition of Mr. Trueblood’s Monthly Whereabouts. This article aims to dive deeper into the life of the popular English teacher Mr. Trueblood, and help students connect with him.
This month, Mr. Trueblood visited Texas and developed a newfound love for fresh pasta with marinara sauce and other sauce varieties. He is also exploring Spotify, creating new playlists, and enjoying Sabrina Carpenter’s latest album. Additionally, he has a new passion for thrifting and discovering vintage and retro pieces around town.
Mr. Trueblood shared his goals for the year: “I want to grow as a teacher by trying new things, pushing myself beyond my comfort zone, and bringing my A-game.” He also states, “I want them (students) to not only understand the text, but make those connections to their personal lives so that they can make the stories relevant.”
Mr. Trueblood has been experimenting with plant propagation, a process of cutting plant leaves, placing them in water, and watching them root into new plants. His favorite plants are succulents and he wants his students to know that plants make great gifts for him. Be sure to check back next month to see what Mr. Trueblood is up to in his favorite month, October.
