Jalen believes that people should, “Always double cleanse if you wear makeup, or just in general every night because of the build-up on your face.” Double cleansing has recently gained more popularity for its effectiveness in reducing skin blemishes which is why it’s recommended for many people.
As stated before, sunscreen is another crucial component of a good skincare routine. “Even when it’s cloudy, you need sunscreen if you don’t want to get skin cancer,” Jalen said. Dermatologists agree that sunscreen not only protects against UV rays but also helps in reducing acne scars.
To obtain healthy skin, Jalen says to, “Always stay hydrated, eat good food, and get enough sleep.” When Jalen talks about getting good sleep, it is because the health of your body still reflects a lot on the outside.
When choosing skincare products, it is important to make sure they are reliable products with good ingredients. Some good brands are: Cerave, Cetaphil, and Neutrogena. Most people look for dermatologist recommended brands, and one of the most important steps in Jalen’s routine is to, “Use good products.”
According to Jalen, one of her favorite skincare brands is “skin 104” which is known to be acne safe, and really good for when cleaning your face.
