Anahi Molina-Jimenez is a sophomore orchestra major at Las Vegas Academy of the Arts. Being in Orchestra requires not only talent, but also dedication and practice when playing a piece. However, help is always offered when needed.
“This major will make you work, but it won’t put your work to shame, because everyone’s input and work is valued, and you have a great sense of community in the orchestra, and help is always available if you need it,” said Molina-Jimenez.
In an orchestra, people experience many memorable moments, whether during concerts, events or even in class due to the dynamic environment.
“Last year for the spring concert, since I knew more people I made more friends, I got to walk around and just enjoy the school before going on stage and giving my final performance of the year,” said Molina-Jimenez.
The dynamic of an orchestra classroom is very important, as everyone has to work together to create an instrumental piece that sounds good while also enjoying it as you’ll be working with those people for the whole school year during multiple concerts.
“I really enjoy my class right now, and I think I will always because I’ve loved it this much before, and I think I will continue to love it even more in future years,” said Molina-Jimenez.
Many people enjoy being in orchestra concerts, as they are mesmerizing due to the fact that you can witness a group working together to create beautiful music. If you’d like to experience this, attend their upcoming concerts throughout the school year.
