Mr. Ibarra, the new Visual Arts teacher at Las Vegas Academy of the Arts (LVA), has quickly gained popularity among students. Located in the Visual design building, he brings enthusiasm and dedication to his role, greatly impacting student’s learning experiences.
With 19 years of teaching experience, Mr. Ibarra joined LVA because of its rigorous curriculum and talented students. He also enjoys the enthusiasm shared by students on campus.
In an interview, Ibarra said, “I’ve never been to a school where students really like to come to school and really like being with each other.” His appreciation for the school’s community is evident in his interactions with students and staff.
Students appreciate his encouragement and positive attitude. “He’s a kind-hearted person who is dedicated to his work,” said Nathan Lanz, a sophomore piano major, showing that Mr. Ibarra’s support goes far beyond just a class. His kind and supportive ideas are especially motivating in the school’s competitive environment.
Staff members have also welcomed Mr. Ibarra warmly. “So far, everybody has been really welcoming and helpful, especially the people in my department,” he said. The kindness of the staff as well as the appreciation Mr Ibarra has for them highlights the sense of community at LVA.
