Music plays an important part in the lives of Las Vegas Academy (LVA) students and staff. Whether playing an instrument, singing, or just listening to music, music is an important part of many’s lives.
100 randomly selected students were surveyed to identify their favorite music genres.
The results are in! Hip-hop, such as Eminem and Jay-Z, came out with 15 votes, making it the most popular genre. In contrast, country music received the least love, with only one vote.
The survey results reflect a diverse range of musical tastes among LVA students. While hip-hop is a clear favorite, other genres like pop, punk, and rock also received notable mentions. This diversity highlights the varied musical preferences of our student body.
Angel Gabriel Grasso, a freshman guitar major, was asked about his favorite music genre, and why he liked it.
“Pop is honestly the love of my life. I’ve known it ever since I was born, ever since I was a little kid. I listened to Taylor Swift’s album come out, and honestly, that changed my life,” said Angel Grasso.
Overall, the survey gives us a glimpse into the musical preferences of LVA students. Whether it’s the beats of hip-hop or the melodies of pop, music continues to play a significant role in our daily lives.
