No matter where a person goes, style can be seen as a way to express themselves. Some people may like different aesthetics or places to shop. Sarina explains that her style is always changing which shows the true realistic qualities of choosing an outfit.
Sarina Pippins, a junior choir major, describes her ever-changing aesthetic when it comes to picking out an outfit, and wearing different hairstyles. She says that she usually wears her hair slicked back. She also said, “Sometimes I’m lazy and I’ll just come to school with my hair in braids and sweats.” Outfits and styles are always changing and Sarina shows good examples of what it’s like dealing with outfit changes.
Sarina loves to shop at many places for clothes. Recently, Sarina’s favorite places to shop are Hollister and Target because they have had more intriguing clothing options. She also mentioned that she shops at Goodwill, but hasn’t gone in a while because of Hollister and Target’s clothing choices.
Styling outfits can be hard, but Sarina says, “To style an outfit, add accessories.” She said that, “This could either make or break the outfit.” Adding accessories is always a good touch to an outfit when you feel like there is something missing. She gave examples such as cute jewelry or bows.
Now that the seasons are changing, so does style. Sarina said, “Summer has been easier for me because that is most of my wardrobe, and now I’m trying to style for winter, but it’s harder.” She mentioned that she has always been more prepared for summer. This is because Las Vegas summers can be difficult, so she has always had more summer clothing available.
Everyday, people always wear different things, whether it matches their aesthetic or it’s different from what that person usually wears. Some days may be lazy, casual, or over the top. Sarina did a great job at expressing how she deals with picking out outfits, and great ways to help add something to spice things up.
