Welcome back to Mr.Trueblood’s monthly whereabouts! This month, Mr. Trueblood celebrated his birthday with his family on October 19th. He went to a nice dinner with his close friends and family, and he finished reading “Digital Minimalism,” By Cal Newport.
This book focuses on being in the moment, rather than on a device. He highly recommends it to students. He loves that it encourages students to be off their phones and more present. His favorite quote from the book is, “Checking likes is the new smoking.”
On Halloween, Mr.Trueblood went trick-or-treating with his niece dressed as a Winnie the Pooh character. Speaking of characters, a goal Mr. Trueblood has is, “…to be more active on campus, like going to see Beauty and the Beast in November.” He loves supporting his students and watching them perform.
Mr.Trueblood has continued to go thrifting and is getting lots of decor for his classroom. He wants his class to feel like a home and safe space for his students. Be sure to check back next month to hear updates about November.
