Junior Scarlett Smith’s life likes to take pieces of her friends and integrate them into her own life. She feels that the people she surrounds herself with have made her into the person she is today.
“I kind of take a little piece of everyone that I’ve ever loved with me every day throughout my whole life, because, like, they’re always influencing me to do that.”
And through this, she’s able to learn a lot of things about what she wants and important life lessons as well.
“When things go wrong with the people in my life that teaches me lessons, and it makes me a better navigator at different situations.”
Her friends are very important to her because they drive her to be better and get the future that she wants.
As for her future, she would like to continue in art. Currently, she is an art major in Visual Design at LVA, and hopes to continue with this when she gets older.
“I want to pass high school and get into a good college so that I can have a good career in art and, like, have some recognition.”
Additionally, she likes to find herself within music. Her favorite band is Weezer because she’s able to connect with some of the songs and relate to her experience.
“Their music is really good and relatable and stuff. Well, not all of it’s relatable, but a lot of it is relatable, and I can really connect with it, and listening to it is nice for my ears.”
Within her life, she feels she has made herself who she is by the people she’s friends with and the music she listens to. Finding parts of yourself in other people, and likewise, sharing yourself with other people, is an ideal that she holds close throughout her years.
