In 2024, Max Verstappen (Red Bull Racing) won the Emilia-Romagna Formula One Grand Prix with Lando Norris (McLaren) in position two and Charles Leclerc (Ferrari) in position three. Alex Albon (Williams Racing) had a disappointing twentieth place due to his unfortunate DNF (Did Not Finish.)
McLaren
McLaren has had an exceptional season this year, making everyone look to them to see if both drivers will get on the podium once again. Oscar Piastri has won four out of the six grand prix, and Norris has had one grand prix win. Piastri currently has the most points at 131, and Norris is second at 115. McLaren has the fastest car on the track as of now, reaching speeds of 250 miles per hour. Also, their pit stops are getting much faster, and their drivers are making fewer mistakes.
Red Bull Racing
Red Bull Racing claims that the new parts they are adding for the Emilia-Romagna grand prix will allow their cars to be faster than McLaren’s so we will see how Max Verstappen and Yuki Tsunoda do at the race.
Alpine
Alpine is replacing Jack Doohan with Franco Colapinto due to Doohan’s terrible performance having a grand total of zero points after competing in six different countries.
Kimi Antonnelli
Kimi Antonnelli (Mercades,) one of the many rookie drivers, is from Italy. Typically when drivers race in their home countries they have extra motivation to make their country proud. Though getting sixth in the Miami grand prix he was first in the sprint qualifying. Other drivers may find this an ideal place to win to show Mercades that the other team is a threat.
