Finals week is here, and the schedule can be a little confusing. Between adjusted bell times, different exam days for seniors and underclassmen, and early dismissals, it’s easy to lose track of what’s going on.
Here’s a quick break down so you’re not rushing the morning of your exams:
Key Dates:
- Seniors: Exams run from Monday, May 19 to Thursday, May 22.
- 9th-11th Graders: Last day of exams are on Friday, May 23.
- All students are dismissed at 10:40 a.m unless they have arrangements to stay for make-up exams.
How The Schedule Works:
- This week follows an adjusted bell schedule-don’t expect your usual class times.
- Each exam block is around 90 minutes with time between or breaks.
- Make-up tests can be done from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Tips to Stay on Track:
- Bring snacks if you’re staying after 10:40.
- Color code your exam schedule so you don’t confuse which class is when.
- Write down your own exam schedule by matching period times with your actual classes.
- Don’t wait until the last minute. The better prepared you are, the less stressed you’ll feel.
Finals week doesn’t have to stressful. As long as you’re organized and prepared, you’ll be just fine. Good luck, LVA!
