There’s a lot of different people in the world, each one with their own stories and dreams. Maria-Christina Carranto, a freshmen 2d visual arts major, is one of these people.
“I actually wanted to be an artist. I was like, doctor? Nah, that’s kind of boring,” Carranto said, ” But now I’m just like, oh, I want to help people.”
She loves to do anything like fashion, cooking, but somewhere in the medical field just stands out to her.
“Be proud of yourself,” Carranto said was the best piece of advice she was given. “That just made me cry: Just be proud of yourself.”
In her non-career based life, she definitely has some fun hobbies.
“My hobby is reading,” Carranto said. “I usually didn’t like reading, but I started Diane’s Purse, even though that’s book 3 of Percy Jackson.”
Another hobby is playing volleyball, and it’s the source of some of her happiest memories, especially “that one specific game against the sharks, and I did like a little bullet serve.”
Carranto is an incredible person, and she’s definitely going places.
