Anthony Ramos, a new employee working at Las Vegas’s KSNV News 3 station, speaks a little bit on his new experiences working in real-life broadcasting and how his major at UNLV prepared him for his career.

“It’s very fun, it’s very very fast-paced but overall, it’s a lot of fun.”

He works as a video editor for the morning news and comes one from 4 A.M. to 8 A.M. “It’s very fast but once I get it under my belt, it’s pretty easy and pretty fun.

Along with working at KSNV News 3, Mr. Ramos is also in his senior year as a multimedia communications major at UNLV. He speaks on how the curriculum at UNLV prepared him to be able to handle the editing software at the news station.

“So the way UNLV has it [the curriculum] structured is they use a lot of the same platforms and databases that a regular news station would use. So basically, they’re setting us up for success by giving us the tools necessary that most news stations use, before we are even out of college.”
