Sometimes when you look in the sky, there is an unmarked airplane with a simple red stripe, this is Janet Airlines. You can view Janet Airlines on a flight tracker app but it will suddenly disappear at a certain point. But why? Could it be aliens?
Janet Airlines flies to Area 51 in the Nellis Air Force Base Range here in Nevada every morning, during the day and each night to get people to and from their workplace. To drive to Area 51 would take 2.5 hours, each way; and the closest town is Rachel, Nevada, with a population ~48. That means Las Vegas is the main hub for workers and 2.5 hours each way is too long, so we fly! But why keep the flight path hidden when we know where it’s going? It has to be aliens!
Some people have a theory that “Janet” stands for “Just Another Non-Existent Terminal” or “Joint Air Network for Employee Transportation”. The name Janet will most likely remain a mystery due to lack of public information the US Air Force and government gives out about the airline and Area 51.
Did you know that Janet Airlines has its own terminal at the Harry Reid Airport here in Las Vegas? It is on the west side of the airport where tour helicopters and private jets operate, but Janet has sealed off facilities to keep who rides on the jet a mystery. I’m telling you, it’s aliens!
You can still go see the jet take off in the morning and night at 4:00am-7:00pm. Janet Airlines doesn’t use any brand logos on their jet, they just use a simple red line going along the jet’s body. Janet Airlines still remains a mystery… I wonder if the flight attendants have to review the safety info every time?
