One of my favorite hobbies is collecting and watching Studio Ghibli merchandise and films, since I grew up watching their movies since I was 2 months old. Over the years, my collection became more than just collectibles to me; they are an appreciation for the creativity, passion, backgrounds, and memories behind Studio Ghibli’s production with each item.
Ghibli Studio is one of the best animation studios in the anime industry, with powerful emotional storytelling. Studio Ghibli has shaped the way many artists and animators view creativity, storyline, and imagination in fantasy today. As a person who grew up watching films from Hayao Miyazaki, I’ve always admired how his work combines fantasy, emotions, and beautiful, meaningful themes such as the environment, strong female protagonists, and dynamic relationships.
Some of my favorite films include Spirited Away, Howl’s Moving Castle, and Ponyo, especially. Entertainment, the films continue to inspire new generations of artists through their imagination, determination, details, and passion for storytelling.
