Artist’s statement- I always found a certain beauty in animal corpses and insects that I don’t think people notice, so I thought this was the best opportunity to share. All of these creatures deserve to be admired; they lived and experienced things, so I think we should honor them and change our view from disgust to admiration.
A decomposed bird lies in a gutter next to some leaves. With the way it’s formed, it seemingly takes the appearance of a bird diving into a pile of leaves.
