My photos focus on art that people often miss in the world around them. My photos were taken in the Arts District in Las Vegas, Nevada. I believe this subject is worthy of being shared with a larger audience because it highlights the randomness of art, the unknown creators behind it, and the small details we often overlook. The randomness of these pieces shows that we may not always understand an artwork’s meaning, which allows us to create our own stories and interpretations. The unknown creators also spark curiosity, making us wonder why they made the piece or why they chose that specific location. This causes us to think more deeply about why things exist the way they do. Finally, noticing the details we usually miss creates a greater respect for art. Instead of quickly walking past and glancing at a piece, taking time to truly look allows us to see details we may have otherwise missed and appreciate the art on a deeper level.
