This photo essay highlights a local recreational park in my neighborhood, which offers a diverse range of play areas, including multiple sports courts, playgrounds, and a large field. The essay mostly focuses on the evidence of enjoyment rather than the direct depiction of people having fun. This was mainly because I was not comfortable with photographing children when I was here, and opted for showcasing the traces of these recreational activities instead. (Any minors pictured have given me consent to take their picture.) Having a space for leisure and exercise in this day and age is incredibly important because sometimes you need time to yourself or friends to relieve the stresses of daily life. I hope to reveal what kind of fun people have in the times to themselves and the kind of life we may live outside of work, school, and home.
