There are many clubs to choose from at school, and one of them is the Student Organization of Latinx (SOL). SOL is a thrilling and moving club to be in, and even though it’s a Latinx club, anyone can join. The staff and students are very welcoming to anyone interested in the club.
Like many other clubs, SOL gives students activities to do outside of school. Some examples are helping companies, people in need, and even working for the city. Last year, SOL helped out Magical Forest by having students help staff and workers there during the Halloween season. Students worked in positions in the kitchen in food areas; others helped give out candy to families. During Thanksgiving, SOL gathered food and toys for weeks to give to families in need. SOL members gathered together, driving to multiple homes to give food to families and toys to children.
SOL not only helps their community, but also throws fun gatherings for the students. A few examples are selling tacos during lunch on campus on Taco Tuesday, or playing music at lunch time for students to dance and enjoy Latin music of different genres, like hip hop.
SOL is always looking forward to having new students join their club every school year. So if you’re interested in seeing what this club has to offer, join next school year. SOL would love to have you, and you will love being in SOL.
