On April 24, 2026, at 8:39 pm, US President Donald Trump tweeted the following:
“A vacation is when you go to a nice, American place with your nice, American family. Usually, you go somewhere near one of your several vacation homes or to your golf fields. A good vacation is one where you can play golf or do a little jig. When presidents go on vacation, they spend their time eating five meals from TRUMP TOWER GRILL a day, and playing lots of golf. Presidents need vacations more than citizens because they are always very busy and hardworking and cool and because they have to work 30 hours a day to save the country from LIBERALS. I work hard for my golf vacations! DONALD J TRUMP”
Less than an hour after the post was made, a commenter claimed that it “Looked like a quote from a Mad Libs book I bought for my nine-year-old cousin.” Though it was likely satire, the comment brought attention to the strange flow and weird phrasing, though some claim that this is normal for Trump’s tweets.
Three hours after it was tweeted, an anonymous user reposted the post with a photo from a Mad Libs book – the Tweet having a shocking match towards the puzzle.
“I don’t know what’s crazier,” MRsandwich.polar, an X user posted. “That he would write out a children’s puzzle and post it, or if he didn’t expect people to realize.”
Another commenter wrote that, “…it was more coherent than the majority of his normal posts.”
Since the original post was made, Donald Trump has not posted any responses to his many comments or deleted the post. The official Mad Libs account has yet to make a response as well. Updates will be posted as the situation evolves.
