LVA is a school filled with talent and potential. In this resource-filled place, students are able to refine their talents because of this, many of them are able to make it very far in this world. This article will review famous attendees of LVA.
Starting off we have Matthew Gray Gubler. He is an actor, director, and fashion model. He is best known for his acting on Criminal Minds as Dr. Spencer Reid as well as his voice acting as Simon in Alvin and the Chipmunks
Next up is Alexandria Le who is an award winning pianist. She has earned sixteen first-prize awards. Besides this, she has not only played at many renowned places such as Paris’ Salle Cortot and NYC’s Carnegie Hall she also plays where music is needed most, like the jails of Riker’s Island.
Following this is actor, author, and musician, Tyler Merritt. He is known for his activism displayed in his book I Take My Coffee Black, and his viral video, Before You Call The Cops. He’s also known for his Acting in Outer Banks as well as in Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
Ne-Yo is an R&B singer, producer, and songwriter. His most popular songs are So Sick and Miss Independent. He has received 6 grammy award nominations, and has a No.1 selling album, In My Own Words. Ne-Yo attended LVA, but graduated from Rancho. He said that LVA showed [him] that it was OK to be an individual. And that’s something that [he] wouldn’t expect to get from a high school. Especially after his experience at Rancho which was described as less welcoming.
Another celebrity who attended LVA is Julianne Hough. She attended multiple schools over her life and became a professional dancer and singer. She put this skill to use in her performances and co-hosting on Dancing with the Stars.
Last but not least is Rutina Wesley. She is an actor who is best known by her performance in True Blood where she plays the character Tara Thorton. By being at LVA her freshman year and acting in a school production she discovered her passion for acting and decided this is what she wanted to pursue.
